Environment and Emergencies Forum

Hosted by UN Environment, the 2017 Environment and Emergencies Forum will take place from 26 September to 28 September 2017 at the UN Gigiri compound in Nairobi, Kenya. The Environment and Emergencies Forum (EEF) is a unique opportunity to discuss global policy, share experiences and knowledge, forge new partnerships and agree on key actions related to environmental emergencies. The Forum will explore the nexus of environmental risk and humanitarian crisis against the backdrop of other trends such as urbanization and industrialization. It will provide a platform for taking action to address the environmental dimensions of emergencies.
Participation in the EEF is free of charge. Participants will have to cover the cost of their transportation and accommodation. Registration can be made here, before 30 June 2017. The seats are limited.

gFSC Global Partners’ Meeting

The next global Food Security Cluster Partners Meeting will take place on 14-15 June 2016 in Rome, Italy and will be hosted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The event will be preceded on Monday, 13 June by face-to-face meetings of the gFSC thematic Working Groups on Food Security and Livelihoods in Urban Settings, Programme Quality, Technology and Innovation, Preparedness and Resilience, Cash and Market, and Inter-cluster Nutrition and Food Security mainly focusing on updates, work plan reviews and adjustments as necessary.
